A short hike is a game where you go through, well a short hike. Its a charming little game that doesn't overstay its welcome. Whilst its short, every single second of the game is delightful.

TLDR: This is one of the best multiplayer games I've ever had the privilege of finding out about, but before you buy it gather some friends around or head into the discord server.


I love this game. The visuals and sound are beautiful. This is my second time purchasing the game, there's Crossplay between all platforms except ps4. Its perfectly simple yet deep. Be the last person standing, everyone is invisible. Its nuanced yet it doesn't take alot of mechanical skill. Its a game about creeping into the minds of your opponents and reading what they would do next, its like a 2D fighter in that sense.
The single player campaigns are unique and interesting. Theyre tailor made for the character you decide to play, and the concepts you learn in the campaign can really help you in the multiplayer games.
And as a multiplayer game this game is phenomenal, matches are tense and exciting, especially with a seasoned opponent. You have to be as perceptive as you can. It can be hard keeping track of where you are. Bumping into another person accidentally creates exilerating moments as each player scrambles to suddenly defend themselves and live.
The online isn't perfect.The netcode works but the delay can be annoying especially if youre not in the same region as everyone else. The matchmaking doesnt work since there arent any players.
But if you can find the people to play with this is genuinely one of the best multiplayer games ever, if not the game is still remarkably from its bot matches and single player puzzle campaign, but bot matches arent the same as a human opponent.
