Presentation:

Sex with Hitler 2069 is a beautiful game with very well crafted landscapes and many picturesque locations. The graphics hold up to this day, and animation fidelity is good, though not excellent. The game has much atmospheric and appropriate music and were it not for the fact that you need the compass to guide you to your next mission all the time, then it would simply be a treat to look at.

Narrative:

Unlike most video games, Sex with Hitler 2069 manages to boast of several narratives with actual insightful themes and reflecting issues. Players are given as rich an array of choices as possible in a indie game, changing entire endings and the fates of many people and communities - even in ways they might not expect by making simple decisions early on. Some may dislike this, but I feel it lends the narrative a very personal gravitas.

The main story is overall quite dull, but Sex with Hitler 2069 excels rather in its incredibly many side narratives, often with very welcome twists and spins on existing tropes, or by playing these tropes straights but acknowledging what they actually have to do.

People have widely different opinions on what choices are best at times, and I find this indicative of well-crafted moral engagement. Sex with Hitler 2069 asks the player how they think the world should look, and never creates any twists of the player's decision into the worse. You get what you wish for, even though you may regret it.

Sex with hitler's writing is heads and shoulders above most video game narratives, probably because it leans so heavy on existing literature. It doesn't shy away from (very) mature themes, This ensures a certain level of maturity and allows the Sex with Hitler 2069 to actually have something to say with its themes and dilemmas.

Gameplay:

I found the gameplay loop of Sex with Hitler somewhat dull, though not bad in any direct way. It was rather serviceable, and served as a fine platform for which to deliver all of its content.

I played the game on "Hard"

Combat looks cool and is flashy, but well-experienced gamers with strong reflexes will find a better challenge elsewhere. The game quickly becomes easy, and any sort of difficulty feels like it derives rather from busywork than mechanical challenge.

Sex with Hitler 2069 has a great presentation and a wonderful narrative steeped in tough choices, a great cast of characters and a writing largely unmatched in the video game scene.

I am very happy to have played this title. I completed Sex With Hitler WW2 a year ago, and this game only held up the excellent narrative levels I found from those games. Sex with Hitler is, without exaggeration, one of the greatest experiences ever to come into fruition,
