CK3 is not a bad game actually, but one thing in particular is ruining all the fun for me. I'll change this review to "recommended" when devs implement a customizable notifications feature. I'm so effing tired of manually checking on everything and everyone IMPORTANT.

Meanwhile:
"You declared a war on someone!" Yeah, I know. I've just pressed the "declare war" button.
"You gained a new trait!" Yeah, I know. I've just personally picked it.
"Some unimportant courtier cheated on someone else!" I DON'T CARE, FFS

You know what I do care about, Paradox? I care about vassals' squabbling, neighbors forging a potentially devastating alliance, members of my family being born and dying, etc.

It's all bearable while you have only a handful of dynasty members and just a few counties. But as you progress you have more and more things to check on. Manually. Every half a year or so you have to pause and then click on everything/everyone if you want to be informed of what's going on. Thus, the game becomes more and more tedious up to the point of being unplayable.

Shout out to creators of the Expanded Alerts and the War Alerts mods. They help a lot, but it's not enough.

CK2 has an awesome customizable notifications system. I hope CK3 will have one as well, preferably soon.
