This game does the Hades-but-turn-based idea really well. Particularly, I enjoy the ranked system being an increasing difficulty challenge. In most rogue-likes we've gotten to the point where they get easier as you unlock and progress.

There are minor things I'd want to see upgraded, like very minute positioning requirements that force you to make very very small movements back and forth to fit into an area with no damage. The main playable classes all look quite poor in my opinion, visually, and their gameplay is the only reason to pick them. There are cosmetics that kind of help remedy this, but at the end of the day I think the visual style is great, but the playable character designs are visually poor.

The final "villains" (what this game calls final bosses) are all somewhat tedious to fight and start to feel like a slog. I feel this is because nearly no fights require you to defeat it in certain ways, or interact with enemies to weaken others, etc. so when bosses do it, it suddenly feels like a loss of freedom and a constraint, and you no longer get to fight freely and optimally.

With all that said, I highly recommend this game to fans of the genre
