This is a fun game to play with friends or just randoms in the community... but that community is going to take a hit because of the new Playstation Network (PSN) requirement. It does make me wonder what Sony's motivation is, and if given the choice I'd probably prefer not to have a PSN account especially considering past data breaches (yes that is plural & not a typo).

So why the positive rating? Well the choice is really more we (the community) want to have Sony games on PC or do we prefer more console exclusives? Personally I vote for PC even though that comes with an unfortunate PSN account. I have a Ubisoft account, EA account, Epic account, Microsoft account and more so why not a PSN account too? Just my $0.02 which is clearly against the mainstream thinking.

At least there's no arbitrary time-limited events and FOMO manipulation of the playerbase. Other than the PSN stuff the game is fairly priced with in-game super credit farming so you don't have to pay more than the base price if you don't want to. There are frequent updates, and sometimes that breaks things, but they also manage to fix fairly frequently too.

If you really hate PSN a lot, play helldivers 1.

Dead. The official website is down and the latest version available on steam does not install correctly. It used to work halfway decently but not anymore so I cannot recommend.

Space Combat is fun! and although ground combat is rather mediocre, its worth playing because it is free. Technically you could never pay a dime but there is some coaxing to spend money if you don't have a lot of time to spend, but they don't shove it down your throat.
