Very competent survival game, it shines through its fresh mechanics that doesn't rely on heavy resources scarcity and "useless" grind. The vampire lore is fully respected as well (different kinds of blood powers, damaged by the sun, religion and silver, mind control on humans...).

It doubles down as a really good ARPG too with a combat system inherited from Battlerite, the previous game from Stunlock that mixes a top-down view with full keyboard controlled movement. Spells are great and there's a lot of choice regarding your build. There is a ton of bosses you have to defeat in order to progress both in your itemization and your base building.

PvP is also a thing for players that like having to defend your own base against enemy clans, it helps build a sustainable game after beating the "main" progression, giving new objectives once you reached the hard power cap of the game.

Overall if you like ARPGs and/or are looking for a new survival game definitely give this one a try
