I've played since Beta and the first few months were rocky after launch, but the game has definitely come a long way since then. While you can complete story mode on normal within a few hours you are able to also change into two other difficulties and redo the story again on the same hero. If you like ARPG games where you can grind for hours on maximizing your character(s) then this is for you. Think of it like Diablo and Torchlight (probably many others, but those are the two I've tried).

You also have the options of running X-Defense and Holo-Sim which is a mode that is styled in that you fight multiple waves containing either villains or mobs. You fight each wave and see how high you can get. X-Defense will group you with four other players or queue so it's only you while Holo-Sim is either you or you and one other. Then there is Midtown which is a city where you roam around just wrecking stuff and boss waves spawning every 3-4 minutes. After that we have terminals where you go to a boss's lair and fight (or skip over) mobs and then clear the boss of the area. Recently they even added a raid which finishes off the final chapter of Story Mode.

Aside from those you also have multiple heroes you can choose from and you can earn them either by buying them in the cash shop or buying using a currency that drops from mobs (roughly every 8 minutes). Which brings me to the cash shop. This game has probably one of the best models I've seen. Everything in the game is simply cosmetic (costumes for your heroes) along with buying heroes if you don't feel like grinding out the currency in-game. Anything you can buy in the cash shop is able to be found/grinded for in-game *aside from Fortune Cards 2-6). Some have lower drop rates, but still possible to earn.

Overall, if you like ARPG games then this one is definitely worth a try.
