I have over 1800 steam hours in Smite 1 and I can confidently say that Smite 2 is a much worse version of Smite 1. It's hard to explain, but everything feels clunky and unfinished. Not to mention, Smite 2 released and became free-to-play with only 45 gods. If you want to get into a third person MOBA, I suggest spending a few dollars on the Smite 1 god pack and hop into that game. There's is much more replayability being able to play 130 gods. Unfortunatlely, I don't think Smite fans are going to wait around for Smite 2 to become what Smite 1 was. For an old and aging vet like me, I can't see myself picking Smite 2 up unless it's my only option.
