Bought it and had my very first playthrough the day of release. I chose the weakest Kingdom in Ireland during the earliest start date, and allied with the kingdom next to me. I then proceeded to stay up until 3:00 a.m. taking over the entirety of Ireland, Great Britain, and most of France in my first playthrough. Is there a hotline for map game addiction? I've got around 750 hours in Hearts of Iron 4 (paltry, I know) but let me say, the mechanics are much easier to pick up in this game, but will still take some time to master. This kind of game gives you much more freedom in how to go about a playthrough at the cost of constantly throwing wrenches into plans. My biggest struggle with the game was that, as I got later into the game, even though I would absolutely crush an enemy’s armies, they would use small stacks to siege down my territory much more often, and if I split my armies up too much they would get overwhelmed. perhaps that's my experience though, I own EU4 and Victoria 2, but don't have many hours in them. It's got a lot of potential and could use a bit of polishing, but I look forward to many hours creating the alternate histories of my dreams.

Pretty fun little racing game. There's a few issues but it just released so I'm sure they'll get them hammered out. Controls are a bit weird to get used to.
