Sable is a journey about self-discovery teaching you that life is about change and sometimes you have to let go of the things you care about to follow your own path, starting with one of the most beautiful 2 hour intros to a videogame I have ever played, melancholic and emotional it truly makes you feel like a journey is about to start.

Riding your Hoverbike through the lonely dunes of Midden you can easily see strange structures and small camps in the distance, its beautiful and unique art-style makes you appreciate every journey from one place to the other.
The music and its sound design is something that instantly makes an impact, from the background instrumentals to every little sound, they are all extremely well made.

There is something special about this game but unfortunately it's staggering amount of performance and polish problems make this a troubling recommendation.
The bugs are nothing major, some malplaced or popping geometry here and there and sometimes the climbing is a bit funky but where the big problem lies is in the performance.
Extreme stuttering and fps drops plague it from start to finish, it has audio skipping pretty regularly and, as of today, there is no way of completely fixing it, also the developer has stated that they wanted to start a new project effectively abandoning the game to the state that it is in.
The stuttering and fps drops can be somewhat lessened by locking the game to 60fps but it doesn't completely get rid of them.

Sable is a thought-provoking, emotional rollercoaster and, if you can look past its technical problems, I absolutely recommend it!

Great game.
It's really difficult to explain how good looking this game truly is, along with its soundscape it leads its mysterious story to a very satisfying end.
The only thing I would have wanted more from is the difficulty for the climbing which is a bit lacking.
Definitely recommended, especially if you have it from the recent Humble Choice.

Fantastic game!
The story is the best part and while it's for sure thanks to the original source, it only manages to be as good as it is thanks to the amazing voice acting, music and the absolutely stunning visuals which create the perfect atmosphere for a si-fi mistery.
Definitely recommend playing it especially if you have it laying around from a previous Humble Choice.

Splendid game, it might be rough on the edges but I truly think it's a little gem.

The best parts are for sure the worldbuilding and characters which are simply amazing, loved the story and the uniqueness of the world.
The combats is also great and at the standard "soldier" difficulty I though they really did a good job balancing it, especially with the bossfights where I always felt the need to learn their patterns before I could best them.
Also the game is very pretty with gorgeous pixel art to every monster and character, the levels can be a litte uneven but overall good looking.

The only bad things I can think of are, some of the dungeons are a bit convoluted and you can get lost pretty easily if you don't pay attention of where you are going at all times and you can find some bugs and spelling errors here and there.
One last thing, the game has a lot of replayability giving you, at the start of the game, the choice between playing as a soldier, an archer or a caster, which is great, but due to the length of the game not many people would go to the hussle to play it again which is a shame.

Overall I don't think the mixed review score is warranted, it is clear that it has gone a lot of work and passion into it, definitely recommending it.

Great Zombies "Save feature", randomly lost a round 347 a couple weeks ago and now, after the recent update, a 300.
Fix it already.

Great little puzzle game, the puzzles are smart and it looks amazing.
Overall recommended, especially if you can get this from the latest Humble Bundle.

Not a good game at all.
The core loop of the game is totally broken...
Teleporters are useless since if you use them you find yourself with terrible weapons and armor on higher level zones and you don't even get any Veri to power yourself up so you are basically forced to do all the levels every time you die for dozens of times until you get to unlock new ones which is boring and incredibly repetitive.
Boss fights are badly made and with terrible hitboxes.
There are so many roguelikes that do progression so much better without the need of grinding for hours.

Every time I start the game I have to remake my character and do the tutorial... Every single time...

Slow movement speed, terrible weapon balancing, little content on launch and full of microtransactions, just like every FPS nowdays.

Beautifully atmospheric and creepy game, stunning in it's uniqueness.

Of course heavily inspired by King's Field but also full of nods to all the From Software classics like a knight who needs help with a locked gate he can't seem to understand how to open, a strange coffin you can get inside to travel to a mysterious place, a recurring magical sword that I am sure everybody knows of and many more, one level is completely inspired by the Tower of Latria from Demon's Souls!
Oh and also the soundtrack is a real highlight!

Amazing game!
