The most fun I have had with a game in a very long time, at the end of every level my heart was pumping with excitement from how it ended, and at the end of every secession I walked away with a smile. Just pure rhythm action fun. I had tons of fun even though I have a ♥♥♥♥ sense of rhythm averaging around 40-55% rhythm accuracy, and yet I was able to finish most of the game with little trouble awhile still having tons of fun on normal difficulty.

The graphics are just wonderful and memorable, no need to for the highest fidelity or something to bring joy. The music obviously has to be great, as it's like half the point of the game, as I was bouncing to the beat of every song. The comedy is actually very on point, Chai himself is very often cringe, but everyone always acknowledges he's an idiot in a well written, and even when things go his way it's absurd enough to be funny as well. Speaking of Chai he actually has decent character development, he doesn't evolve into a totally different person, but he does notably mature into a leader type character that everyone can trust... most of the time.

Just an easy GOTY contender 10/10 in February, can't wait for a sequel.
