Excellent game - First time experiencing the Anno universe and will be looking forward to Pax Romana. Add ons do make this quite pricey and I would recommend waiting for a steam sale or bundle sale for the major content pieces.

Great game while it works. Unfortunately, I am one of many who is experiencing constant DirectX crashes. This issue was present during Beta and continues to this day. The game may last 5 minutes or it may last an hour.

I've attempted:
1. Removing GPU overclock, then underclocking
2. Removing XMP/EXPO overclock
3. Reducing graphical settings
4. Fresh install of graphics drivers (including removal and install in Safe Mode)
5. Setting GPU to Debug Mode
6. Assigning admin permissions to BF6.exe and the anti-cheat
7. Turned on Resizable BAR, disabled Resizeable BAR

The Battlefield forums on EA and Reddit are littered with this error and EA has not acknowledged it. In fact, the problem is "Marked as Solved" on the EA Battlefield 6 forum. The issue spans across all types of hardware (AMD and Nvidia GPUs, different driver versions, Inte/AMD CPUs, etc.). Additionally this seems to have been a common crash since Battlefield 2042.

No other games in my steam library are crashing.

Edit (10/31/2025): Now the game won't even load into the main menu. Crashing without any errors.
Edit (11/6/2025): Still crashing with recent driver updates and after patch
Edit (11/11/2025): Still crashing. EA monetizing their games rather than fixing them.

Purchased this game and it is great when it works. However, I experience frequent crashes at irregular intervals. The game may crash 5 minutes after starting or after 2 hours. I have spent multiple hours attempting to fix this issue only to find that this has been an issue for years. Due to troubleshooting the game, I've surpassed the 2 hour limit for returns and Steam has denied my request for a refund after exhausting all options via Steams' own community hub and the internet.

This is the only Steam game that crashes, so I know it's isolated to Forza.

With Forza Horizon 5 coming soon, I do not recommend this game and sadly am very wary of FH5. I absolutely love the game (minus the crashes) but cannot in good faith recommend it to anyone.
