First let me clarify, most of my experience is with BF2. So in the current state it is in, don't buy it. At the moment if you want a true experience with HD models and textures, get the original and mod the hell out of it. Personally I love that the game uses the console UI since that is what I grew up with but it is severely disappointing to see that this port from 2005 is yes playable but very rough and clunky. Feels like a pre-launch beta build. The textures and models look good but the mods for the original make it look better. On single player it plays amazingly! It also feels a bit more challenging. Galactic conquest is very clunky when selecting planets and it seems like it works better with a controller(This can be said for most of the game since it appears to be a straight up console port). Multiplayer is fun but ROUGH.. In my experience, playing as a host, I took a huge dip in FPS and was playing on a slideshow with a beefy computer. Not playing as the host, you have to lead your shots. I haven't played on any dedicated servers yet so im not sure how well those play. It was also disappointing to see that the discount was a limited time thing where as it should be permanent especially after this. Nearly everyone in the discussions are commenting on their disappointment with Aspyr and how they are going to refund. I support the idea of refunding because of the horrid state of the game. Personally I won't refund since i think that the games are still fairly fun and im hoping that they will continually support it. I doubt this game will make a Master Chief Collection turn around but im hoping that it'll come close.

UPDATE: Nah i take it back. Im refunding it.

TLDR: The game is in a rough state and shouldn't be bought till it is all ironed out. Multiplayer is rough but SP is still fun
