If your looking for a review on this man you've come to the wrong place, but if your looking for an outstanding pie recipe you've come to the right place.

3 pounds mixed apples
2/3 cup sugar
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
2 disks dough for Basic Crust
1 large egg, beaten
Coarse sugar, for sprinkling

Place a baking sheet on the lowest oven rack and preheat to 425 degrees F for 30 minutes. Place the pie on the hot baking sheet; lower the temperature to 375 degrees F. Bake until golden, 1 hour to 1 hour, 10 minutes. Cool on a rack.
