For anyone who actually likes Monopoly, please, please, I beg you, please play some better board games. There are an absolute ton right now. Monopoly is just the absolute worst.
Just try Settlers of Catan. Yes, board game snobs see it as the "basicbitch" of the "Eurogame" era of board games, but ignore all that. It has all the basic elements of Monopoly rolling dice, claiming spots on the board that others want, making trades with other players.. but beyond all of that, it's actually good. You're not stuck doing nothing during others turns, you're not solely at the whims of the dice rolls.
it doesn't have tobe this one game. Tryone of the countless other games that have gotten popular in recent decades. TickettoRide, whatever. Just FFS, stop playing this absolutely terrible game that was specifically designed to be a terrible game to make a point about how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ capitalism is.
