Side scrolling action game where you return to your corporate workplace and set about smashing everything and everyone in the place. Attractive low poly models that keep it from looking too gory as you work your way through offices, cafeterias, lounges and executive suites on a blaze of destruction. When time runs out, you tally up your points and get coins to spend on new weapons for your next revenge-driven slaughter. Everything from pipes to katanas to giant hammers to various firearms awaits you.

Although fun for what it is, once you upgrade from the initial broom all challenge is effectively gone. My high score with the broom was 3,070 points. The first upgrade to the pipe got me a score of 130,000 points and only because I let time run out so I could buy something else. There's only three levels to the building which reset themselves once you move to a new level, so your time is just walking up and down the same halls and clearing the same rooms over and over until you get bored. For the low price, I won't say it should offer more but additional buildings after clearing this one or even procedurally generated levels up the building would go a long way towards keeping it interesting.

Someone's low budget attempt to mash together God of War, Dark Souls and The Witcher. Unfortunately, the controls are a mess, it's floaty and buggy and your button mashing will result in you floating all over the place and clipping through things. There's a bunch of different weapons but they all function the same and hit detection and movement are so poor that you'll just be swinging wildly anyway. I got as far as a boss fight against a demon who fell through the floor at 90%. That felt like as good a place to call it quits as any. Despite the "Mavi Game Studios", this is the same developer who did Story of the Olivia which was also a buggy mess made in the same game engine.

The dev says he has pages of story for the game and I believe him -- you can tell that someone was trying to tell some sort of story -- but without a functional framework to experience it in, no can actually learn what the story was.

Difficult to follow visual novel/strategy mashup where you rule one of the last human-run nations in a world dominated by AI. The story is set in chapters along a pre-planned path but you spend some time in each chapter talking to your council, making a few strategic decisions that affect some stats and the laying out your troops to stop an enemy advance. Unfortunately, there's little feedback to determine what's happening due to your decisions or what's happening because it's baked into the game. Does your army placement matter? Who knows? Did it matter if you promoted a guy? No idea. Could you have avoided any of the losses or are they part of the on-rails story? I dunno. After a small handful of chapters, you learn about some traitors, make some more decisions, click your way through a lengthy climax and that's the game.

The idea isn't bad and the 39¢ price tag made me overlook how short is was but the game play was confusing, the top lines of the text was placed over graphics making it hard to read, at least a paragraph or two wasn't actually translated from Turkish. the biggest reason for the Not Recommended though was because the overall experience felt more like being along for the ride than being an active participant. It needs to provide more feedback for a feeling of agency if it's going to have those stat and military systems.

Entertaining platforming adventure game with you exploring a variety of biomes/locations and roughing up the inhabitants as you go about your quest. The platforming isn't anything exceptionally hard (for the four or five areas I've been in) though the lack of native controller support is a definite knock against it. Fortunately, Steam allows you to bind keyboard controls to a controller. Various enemies to be fought, new weapons to be found or purchased, upgrades (both stat and movement) and boss fights with their own gimmicks. Aside from the boss fights, it generally felt low-key and relaxing to jump around and explore the pleasant indie pixel drawn world. Sound/music doesn't hold up as well with short repeated loops but I wouldn't say it detracts from the experience. All in all, I've been enjoying it and aside from the controller issue, think it's a nice little low-priced gaming experience.

Recenzie acordată în perioada accesului timpuriu
A little basement indie project about the western frontier might be fun and my expectations were set low (obviously this wouldn't be Red Dead Redemption) but this game is just literally broken. Hit detection on enemies is random, quest locations were floating in space, quest areas wouldn't spawn the enemies you needed, etc. Forget things like weird asset choices and laughable dialogue, you simply cannot actually play this game and accomplish its objectives due to all the bugs.

Quick & dirty, low rent and fast paced arena shooter. Dash around the square arena for the amusement of a looming Sun God as you shoot at skeletons, flying skulls, motorcycles, exploding microwave men, little sun gods (moon gods?) and more. Every ten seconds the game slightly changes: A buff to your jumping or firing rate, faster monsters, holes in the floor, a new weapon, etc. Weapons are decided randomly for you ranging from thrown axes or magic wands to sniper rifles. Effects stack and remain so eventually you can practically fly around on double-high-jumps as dash speeds. The goal is to top the devs high score list.

It's amusing for what it is and for the price it's at. Exactly what it looks like in the screenshots and good for a few rounds at a time of fast and not so serious shooting.

Platformer that I think is nominally about facing your fears/traumas but is mainly about jumping on platforms, avoiding spikes, solving small puzzles and stabbing ragged asylum patients with a chainsaw. Each of the three bosses represents something like loneliness or fear of being assertive but the rest doesn't really reflect the theme. The visuals are pretty good though with a sort of sketchy indie comic feel and the sound/music isn't bad.

Unfortunately, it lacks the tight controls you'd want in a game that's supposed to be about timing. The keyboard bindings are awful and there's no native controller support. I used Steam's ability to bind controller functions which was a lot better but should have been in the game. Worse, the game is a bit sloppy in registering key presses (this was both keyboard and controller) so I had a lot of cheap feeling deaths. Each time you die, you have to go through a little death mini-level before restarting the real level. Spikes are an instant kill so missing a double-jump due to bad key registering and having to go through the death time sink was a frustrating experience. Less obnoxious, but still disappointing, was that non-boss enemies were just two types of actual enemy you can stab and one that's really an environmental hazard more than an enemy since you can't kill it.

All in all, I don't regret my 38¢ sale price but I think the game needs another pass for polish and tightening the controls before I'd say it's worth a recommendation.

Quick rogue-like game where you pick a hero then just move up a path of "cards" made up of monsters, weapons, armor, treasure or buffs. After the tenth move is a stronger boss card then a chance to buy one of three random things for the next round, and do it all again. Each hero (one default, three unlockable) has a special move and are fairly distinct. The art has an amateurish hand-drawn style which is fine and the sound effects involve a lot of someone saying "Amazing!" into their mic but nothing is really distractingly bad (and arguably has its own charm). After unlocking all the characters and completing the ten achievements within an hour or so, there's not a ton of replay value but it's cheap, enjoyable while it lasts and not a badly built little game.

To start, I bought this for 50¢ and not the current list price of $44.99. Anyway, simple timed track racer except that you're in a tank instead of a car. But it's a tank with no ammo so it's still basically a car. Drive around the tracks, hit the checkpoints for more time and avoid the soldiers who jump out of the bushes in front of your tank. Hitting them will slightly slow you down (as they bounce away) and hitting enough will end your round. Complete ten tracks and win.

The simple graphics and repeating chiptune soundtrack fit the mood and it was entertaining enough to finish. I'll never play it again but, hey, I've paid far more money for games I've played for less time so it must have done something right.

A ten minute long "game" of you steering your redheaded lady-assassin through extremely short maps where you collect gold and either fight or walk around largely oblivious space bugs and future soldiers. You can pick up a sword and swing it and there's a 50% chance it'll bug out and disappear but it doesn't really matter since, again, the enemies can easily be avoided/ignored. It's fast, buggy and not at all enjoyable. I wasn't expecting much and thankfully only spent a dollar but the non-sale price of this game is ten bucks and that's just crazy-talk. Don't spend a buck on this and don't dream of spending ten bucks on it.
