A fun, heartwarming little game!

Often playing and thinking about my seven-year-old self, who got assigned Corythosaurus for the class research project and would be very pleased with Paleo Pines’ dino helper roster.

Thank you for all the love and hard work poured into this game and its community. Onwards and upwards with the 2025 roadmap!

A year and some change after first touching Mouthwashing—in demo form—and it’s been beautiful and breathtaking and a little bit heart-racing to see its reach grow in leaps and bounds since.

And what is there to say that hasn’t been said? I was hooked by the cast, written with such definition and meticulous detail, memorable even in preview; I stayed for them, too, and for the vessel and the ache that swelled and shrank and fractured around them.

I hope this game has reached the ones who need it most dearly.

Coming off the demo, there was a fleeting thought: “Surely the full game won’t be this good?”

But the narrative and commentary, the emotional weight, the art direction (that art direction!)… they're all so thoughtfully crafted in every chapter, spun from (relatively) minimal resources to land with the utmost maximum impact.

Hekki grace. 1000xRESIST will be on my mind for a while yet.

Like all great works of art, this one ends with a key ingredient that'll be sure to have you leaping to your feet in raucous applause: a funky little dance montage.

Kick back and relax for an hour or so! Be a guy frog! Solve a mystery!

As someone who had a big wet sob during Domee Shi's "Bao," I found that this also fell firmly into the camp of "stories about about food and love and Canada and the Asian diaspora and being a mom and having a son and navigating culture and identity." Which is to say: get out the tissues.

Venba is a beautiful little game - in writing, in visuals, in sounds and music. I've done a couple of rounds now, and during each playthrough I catch something new to admire, whether it's in a frenzy of gameplay in the kitchen and a lingering pause, a practiced hand versus a shaky pour of oil, or a single word highlighted in a line of dialogue.

In short, I've had a wonderful time with Venba. And I get the sense that I'll be returning again in the future.

A lovely, short and sweet life sim.

The lack of time constraints on most quests and season changes allowed me to play at my own pace, and quality-of-life upgrades found in various spells and potions were a welcome resource as I progressed through the game.

Above all, I found Wylde Flowers really shines in its character cast, which is refreshingly diverse and consistently well voice-acted.

(Was also happy to see this featured in the "Uplifting Adventures" Humble Bundle - hoping for a new wave of players in these coming weeks!)

Came into Sandrock as a big My Time at Portia aficionado and as many have said, fans of the latter will find a lot to love in this title.

MTaS has brought huge improvements in the quality-of-life department, along with gorgeous visuals and a new multiplayer mode to boot. Recent updates have really fleshed out NPC stories and brought the depth of character I loved in MTaP, and it's been wonderful to watch this game come to life over the course of its early access period.

For newcomers: The "My Time" series stands out to me as a life sim that has it all, from crafting and farming to romance and combat, with robust systems that make it all enjoyable to play - and My Time at Sandrock is no different.

I'm creeping up on 500 in-game hours... if that says anything!
