Ubisoft ruined this game years ago by listening to the playerbase and constantly trying to counter "turtle" meta. They then constantly released overly good/overpowered characters minus about 2, nerfed characters that were weak just because a few noobs whined about the only good thing the character did(shinobi) by this time in the game all their counters to turtle meta only created 400ms light spam meta, and then with their newest update completely ruined the game by hiding the first 100ms of animation and indicator to try and get rid of light spam.... wait... what? yeah. Really sucks because this was once my most favorite game I've ever played.

EDIT: Came back on 7/15/24 for 3 days and it's in an even worse state than when i first left. Still 400ms light attack spam and to make things even worse most characters can't even get punished from gb mixups anymore cause they can just spam side dodge attacks that ignore it.
