Ingredients:
4 pieces of chicken – 1 onion – 1 tbsp tomato paste – 1 cup barberry – 3 cups rice – 2 tbsp brewed saffron – 1 tbsp sugar (optional) – salt, turmeric, pepper – oil/butter.
How to make chicken:
1. Chop and fry the onion, add turmeric and pepper.
2. Add the chicken and fry both sides.
3. Add the paste and fry for two minutes.
4. Pour 2 glasses of water, add salt.
5. Cook for 45–60 minutes until the sauce thickens.
6. Finally, add the saffron.
How to make barberry:
1. Melt a little butter/oil.
2. Fry the washed barberry on low heat for 30–40 seconds.
3. Add saffron and a spoonful of sugar (optional).
Rice:
1. Rinse the rice.
2. Let it brew and finally mix some of the rice with saffron and pour it over the rice.
