No way to run the game on windows 8 x64. Went through all sorts of troubleshooting through forums and forums of the related issue, and I just gave up; It's not worth the headache. Some others play with no problem, but numerous others cannot even get pass the game launcher/Social Club. It really is "Hit and Miss". Purchase at your own risk. I do not recommend buying LA Noire for the PC. Stick with the console people.
