this game pretty much hits the spot in terms of run gameplay, meta progression, and satisfying upgrades/builds
i find this game to be much more entertaining than normal drg, but that's mainly cause i love roguelikes/roguelites.

they killed this studio, then proceeded to say "we need more small-scale, high quality games"

even though im personally giving this game a positive review, it still needs a tad bit of balancing for the whole of it, a good amount of the healing (especially regen items) are particularly useless due to the flow of combat in the first game (including this) pretty much making it where you'll constantly count as (in combat) and the lack of scaling to the player's max hp, causing things like medkit to become useless even during around the 3rd or 4th stage in the game.

even if you're playing through stages at a relatively fast pace (4-5 minutes a stage, mainly 4) the enemy health values scale way too fast and the damage increases to the point where the signature playstyle of jumping over and over again and firing into a crowd once with an ability will happen. this isn't even to mention that volatile, frenzied, and especially overloading enemies feel really unfun to encounter at all and deal an amount of damage that doesn't exactly feel satisfying.

though in my honest opinion the biggest problem of the game doesn't have to do with the game itself and moreso it's original diehard fans who have very little counterpoints to poorly designed balancing other than "skill issue", which doesn't excuse how 1/3 of white/green items are useless and finding the teleporter feels more like stumbling around and getting lucky you manage to find it, unless you spend too much time trying to find it and causing the scaling problem to get worse as previously mentioned.

if you're prepared to lose a good run to poor enemy rng and can move onto your next one like nothing happened in just 5 seconds, while also accepting the fact this game is incredibly rough on the player, then you'll enjoy the sweet taste of victory when you manage to finally go the distance.

If you still have this version of the game lying around in your library, I highly recommend downloading and installing InfernoPlus's Remastest Mod for this game. It's a community remix of this game and will change up not only the singleplayer experience, but the multiplayer experience too.

This game is unbelievably broken, the worst hit registry i have ever seen, broken weapon stats, bots are pretty much useless, 64-tick servers, and smurfing. I never want to play this game ever again until the game is fixed. This game feels like they didn't put any effort and released it before it was released. Hell, even the 3rd party servers fixed all of this and have a better anti-cheat system than this large corperation. Good Riddence

This Review is in my opinion and for you that hate me for this review take this review with a grain of thought, I do like this game better than most of the FPS games on the market, With alot of custom gamemodes and features. However a game cannot be flawless.

It's like the creator is running out of ideas on making the game fun, so he adds things that further limits players in activities. such as car batteries, bullet drop, and silencers having durability.

you're better off not playing on pubs, uncletopia is also full of people who are too experienced to make fights feel fair, not really a good outlet to play on here, unless it's a trade server.
