I don't play a lot a Side Scrollers but I do play a lot of Rougelikes.

For being a small indie studio there's a lot of polish that's been done to the game that makes it very easy to play. Some of the upgrades you get during your run end up being super sick. One thing that surprised me was how helpful and viable the melee is in the game. Kick a bad guy in the face and they stay down for a bit which helps give you breathing room when things are hectic.

At the end of the day I would definitely give this game a shot. It's a lot of fun and if you're someone who likes Side Scrollers and blasting dudes this game is perfect to do that for hours.
