This is my favourite game of all time

The gameplay is great with 9 classes that you can chose from to fit your style. Prefer a stealthy character? Play Spy. Like to stand your ground and spray? Play Heavy. Like chasing to burn enemies down and and time reflections (my personal favourite)? Play Pyro. There are many game modes and lots of maps to play and a very large amount of community servers where there are lots of different things to do such as times x servers or trading servers.

There is so much customisation in TF2 in terms of weapon combos and cosmetics. Every character can be your own. The weapon customisation is really fantastic as each class has a primary and secondary equipment and a melee weapon. This allows for experimentation with weapon combinations that suit you. Not only are their different classes that to try but each class has so many different weapon combos that can be tried.

The TF2 community is pretty strong long after release, despite the last non seasonal content update being back in 2017. This just shows how incredible this game is. The game went free to play ages ago and if you haven't played it yet, I highly encourage that you do.
