It's good, enough said.

Pros:
Incredible game. Most of the bad reviews are because people can't get the game to start. Once you download a simple mod to fix it, you're given access to an incredible experience. Even better if you find a friend to play with. The campaign is about 6 hours long. However, it is very replayable. In fact, it is encouraged that you do replay because of the plenty amount of content after your first run. The DLC provides even more hours of fun with both DLC stories providing a good challenge.

Cons:
The playerbase is very small which is understandable since it's an old game. If you're looking to get every achievement, you'll have to download a mod for the "Versus" achievements since nobody plays anymore. If you're looking to find someone to play with, it is still fairly easy to find someone with the "Quickplay" feature which throws you in the campaign with someone.

There is other content and things to do in RE5 that I didn't mention for the sake of not making this too long. If you're a fan of the Resident Evil series, this is one of the better games so I guarantee you that you'll love it.
