Fastest DLC i've ever bought to support a developer.... fantastic game worth every penny and the devs deserve the support puts most triple A games to shame

Honestly I've plaid and owned MANY of these types of games and this one has an incredible amount of immersion.. while i tend to stay away from comparisons i feel when I'm looking at the layout i get massive Stardew Valley and Coral Island vibes and when im thinking of the game play loop i get a massive Animal Crossing vibe...

So far I've really been enjoying this experience and it was definitely worth the purchase (note I do definitely find myself wishing there was some kind of visible arrow or marker pointing me to my visible tracked quest - just so I don't have to spend so much time in the map) and i enjoying my time in this game, I don't get the feeling this game will join the ranks of games just sat waiting in my libery for something to attract me back in.

part of me just hopes somewhere in it it gives me the ability to take over one of the islands and build on it - although i am doubting it exists.

Great foundation, the developers and moderators care about the game. It has bugs and glitches but it's definitely scratched the stardew itch with a twist.

I hope the EA process adds as much care as they seem to give to the game. I was abit worried about a feature creep but they seem dedicated but ofc I'll keep this review edited.

As a casual gamer with a larger game collection I don't tend to write reviews for products but this title is very different, What you get is a RTS Strategy game that puts Triple A games like Total Wars to shame that on the face of it doesn't look particulary spectacular but the game play is amazing (note I'm not a kid looking for some pew pew - as a older game mid 30's I like to relax after work for a few hours).

Let me get this out of the way straight away:

Cons -
Can't Move the castle - its been my only gripe so far when you start a battle your castle walls are in a pre defined location (one at each side of the map)
Graphics - the textures look like AoE games or games dated around that genre (not a bad thing but the younger gamers wont like it for a 2016 game)

From what I've seen (others I read have graphics issues) I've had 100+ units in battle and yes the framerate has dropped but the game has never dipped more then a gig of memory use - (It did make me wonder if this is a 32 bit application)

Pro's
- Gameplay (the battles keep you returning time and again)
- First Battling the AI to get crafting materials (RnG based materials which unlock units to use in battle) - thats right you start with only the most basic of units and castle and work up
- Que system - I can't wait to see this with more players you hit your gametype the game seems to auto match the players
- No Console - For me not being able to spawn all items in or cheat my way through it is spectacular (the secret room on fallout 4 that gives you everything in the game once you know its there the game is done!)

All in all a fantastic game... while I look forward to seeing some progression in its current state its well worth a look (just make sure you stick it out for a few hours) - I've sunk 20 hours in so far in just over a week... i petty my gametime in a month
