It's ok.

It's a bit better with (even more) content mods like Calamity or Thorium.

3/4 Exploration and building, not unlike similar games like Terraria or Starbound, 1/4 OH GOD WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME HELP WHY ARE THEY SO MANY HOLY MOLY MACCARONI WHEN IS IT DAY AGAIN?! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

The game feels smooth, polished, and pleasant to play. It offers an interesting difficulty curve, making you be wary of how you progress. IT HAS STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY AND WATER! LOTS AND LOTS OF TERRIFYING WATER!Also the shotgun is your first jetpack if you're into that kind of thing.

Even if "just" a work in progress I must say:

'Tis a good game, if I was told this was the final release I would most likely believe them.
Buy it, play it, love it, don't marry it though!

I came for the orc gibs. I stayed for the characters. And the gameplay. And the orcs' speech while we gibbed them. And the orcs gibs, of course!
