Bought the game while it was on a great holiday sale with the Epic Approaches Mission Pack then recommended it to two friends who also took advantage of the sale.

It still needs a bit of work before I'd consider it to be good to go or an acceptable simulator, it has been nice to see an updated MS Flight Simulator become available as FSX peaked years ago and can't really be improved any further on its own.

I think the game has been brought out of Early Access too soon but have high hopes for it so I'll keep checking on how it preforms and what changes/additions are made to it because once it has reached the playability of FSX I will make the complete switch so that I can enjoy all the updated graphics and other enhancements.

I am not a fan of all the DLC especially when they are so overpriced and offer so little to justify purchasing. I'd like to see more Regular and FREE updates or low-cost expansions if not FREE as well. I'd also like to see much more reasonable prices on extra airplanes like $1.50-$3.00 per aircraft add-on or packaged aircrafts like 6 for $10 which could be packaged many ways like small crafts, military crafts and so on. The DLC would sell so much better that way so people are more likely to buy instead of seeking out freeware options or just going to another simulator that doesn't seem to be ran by such a greedy company.

Ya, it's probably easier but the whole Pay2Play thing has been an issue with many games and detracts many potential customers. Payware add-ons are also available outside of steam and usually compatible with multiple games which some users require or prefer due to owning and utilizing multiple simulators. I don't feel like my FREE Vought Corsair is much worse than the $25 DLC offered and I enjoy many other FREE options that enthusiasts have worked together on creating and shared out of the kindness of their hearts. I'd be much more inclined to pay those individuals more for their product as they have less resources at their disposal usually and still do a great job if not perfect job often enough.

My two favorites are A2A's Cessna 182 and Aerosoft's Twin Otter Extended. I've had so much fun with them in FSX, FSX Steam, and P3D and I think they were totally worth it. :)

But I think it's a lot easier to be on the outside of a company saying how they should be doing things vs on the inside having to make decisions for your company's employees and their families...

I've never felt any of the DLC planes or other payware add-ons were worth the high retail prices but have felt some sales made them worth it. I understand how much time and effort goes into them but much more went into making the game which has much much more for the price and the more sales made per item means more profit at some point. It just makes since to lower the costs when it will add to overall sales numbers and increase apeal to overall game.

The price of DLC planes is the same as the price for FSX/P3D ones on the regular flightsim stores. A lot of work goes in to the model and the flight code. Maybe there's a market for bargain-bin planes, too, IDK. The payware planes I have for FSX and P3D are worth every penny, I think. It's gonna be the same here.
