Saw this a month ago in a gaming quiz on youtube.
Forgot about it.
Friend gave it to me for christmas because it looked interesting in my wishlist.
Boot it up, unsure of what interested me in the first place.
Screw it, back to 0 expectations.

BEAUTIFUL
It has a beautiful art style, it has wonderful mechanics, like if you mixed Darkest Dungeon, Rogue Legacy, and Fire Emblem
I can't find a single thing I don't like about it, the character designs have so much care and attention to detail.
The world has a wonderful dynamic with the 3/4 main factions, and the upgrade system is very well done.
The characters themselves are so well defined and vibrant, and the player/family customization is amazing with the random traits making things even better as at least two of my family members (including my main character) are Pessimistic Mascochists.

I may have been a bit late to the half life party, but now that I am playing through the games in preparation to play half life: Alyx I can see why so many people love this series and are waiting so impatiently for HL3

Although it is a free game i have been playing since the closed beta and can honestly say that the game is only gonna get better :D
