Tanut is "cold and heartless to this day" because of witnessing his father's murder at a young age. He has a girlfriend named Nettie who stays by his side. She tries to get him to stop dealing drugs but he says no because he is a "soulja". He understands why Nettie is worried about him, because he is in a cold game and there is nothing nice in the Magnolia Projects. He never trusts the law and he doesn't care what they say or try to be. He wants to do right in life but is often forced to choose to ride or quit the game. His girl Nettie is later kidnapped by a crooked cop named Curlyhead and threatens to kill her if the Cash Money Millionaires don't give him the dope.
