Part 1: NVIDIA Control Panel Settings
This is the most important part. Right-click on your desktop and open the NVIDIA Control Panel.

Go to Manage 3D settings, then click on the Program Settings tab. Add CS2 (cs2.exe) from the list. If it's not there, add it manually. Now, apply these settings for CS2:

Image Scaling: Off
Low Latency Mode: Ultra (If you have a good CPU. If not, use 'On')
Max Frame Rate: Off (We'll cap it in-game or let it run free)
Monitor Technology: G-SYNC (If your monitor supports it)
Power management mode: Prefer maximum performance
Texture filtering - Anisotropic sample optimization: On
Texture filtering - Negative LOD bias: Allow
Texture filtering - Quality: High Performance
Texture filtering - Trilinear optimization: On
Threaded optimization: On
Vertical sync: Off (Very important!)
Click Apply at the bottom right.

Part 2: Essential Windows Optimizations
A few quick tweaks in Windows can make a big difference.

1. Game Mode & GPU Scheduling:
Go to Windows Settings > Gaming > Game Mode. Turn Game Mode ON.
On the same screen, click on Graphics. Click "Change default graphics settings". Turn Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling ON. Restart your PC after this.

2. Disable Fullscreen Optimizations for CS2:
Find your cs2.exe file. (Usually in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Counter-Strike Global Offensive\game\bin\win64)
Right-click on cs2.exe > Properties.
Go to the "Compatibility" tab.
Check the box that says "Disable fullscreen optimizations".
Click Apply and OK.

Part 3: Best In-Game Video Settings for Performance
Now let's launch the game and fix the settings inside CS2.

Go to Settings > Video.

Main Video Tab:
Aspect Ratio: 16:9 (or 4:3 if you prefer stretched)
Resolution: Your monitor's native resolution (e.g., 1920x1080). Lowering it can boost FPS but hurts quality.
Display Mode: Fullscreen
Refresh Rate: The highest your monitor supports (e.g., 144Hz, 240Hz)

Advanced Video Tab:
Boost Player Contrast: Enabled (This helps a lot with visibility)
Wait for Vertical Sync: Disabled
Multisampling Anti-Aliasing Mode: None (Biggest FPS killer. Turn it off.)
Global Shadow Quality: Low (Crucial for FPS and spotting enemies in dark corners)
Model / Texture Detail: Low
Texture Filtering Mode: Bilinear or Trilinear
Shader Detail: Low
Particle Detail: Low
Ambient Occlusion: Disabled (Useless eye candy that eats FPS)
High Dynamic Range (HDR): Performance
FidelityFX Super Resolution: Disabled (Highest Quality)
