I recall years back playing crush crush on and off. Out of all the idle games that I’ve one stuck with me. There was just something about the writing and the characters that I enjoyed and I ended up sticking with the game since. When I learned that the developers were to make a visual novel based off the characters I enjoyed, I was admittedly excited. Though I didn’t know what to expect when I eventually bought the game, in the end, I absolutely loved it.

The characters that I initially knew of as admittedly charming albeit one note, we’re suddenly fleshed out with their own goals, lives, and complete personalities that had me hooked quick. The game is admittedly darker than I expected, but that was by no means a negative. I was drawn to the mystery, the romance, the suspense, all of it.

If I were to provide any sort of negatives about the game, It’d have to be the difficulty. The game even admits that it’ll sometimes lead you to traps that if you didn’t know ahead of time, you’d lose then and there. It’s very punishing in its mistakes, but when you finally get the hang of thing the result is worth it. The only other thing I’d complain of is the ending. I won’t spoil the main climax, but by the end it just sort of ends abruptly. Fade to black, credits, the whole deal. I guess it’s mostly just me wanting more, but yeah.

I’d very much recommend this VN. Whether you’re in it for the lewd content or not, there’s plenty to love. And even replay value in the routes you can take and difficulties you can play.
