Keeping it short - for £15 ($20), I cannot fully understand people's complaints about this game. Is the game perfect? Definitely not. There is flaws and lack of features at launch (as with every modern game) but these don't take away from the overall enjoyment of the game and again, noting that this is 1/3 of the price of a AAA game. The map is pretty big and diverse with a great range of canyon style drift roads, to wide open highways and tight city streets, and with the day/night cycle this makes for some great atmospheric driving and racing. Car customisation is good for both cosmetics and performance, events are great with plenty of different event styles and tracks. The car list is okay. There is around about 70/80 unique cars but there is enough to be entertained with at launch. (Yes the AI voice people have mentioned is cheesy and lazy, but I have only encountered this in the very beginning of the game (first 20-30 minutes), and not heard any dialogue again since).

** I've found a lot of people have had serious issues with performance, maybe I'm just lucky? - I have not had any issues. Running an RTX 2080 Super, i9-9900k, 32GB DDR4 RAM @3200 and with the game installed on a relatively basic Samsung 860 QVO SSD, I can run the game at ultra and maintain 100+ FPS in the majority of areas. In the city, I do get some frame drops, so I have dropped my settings to high for now, which appears to have stopped any frame drops. I have also found that disabling v-sync can improve performance greatly on some systems. **

Early Access Review
As the majority of people have already stated, the performance and optimisation for this game is very poor in it's current state. I understand this is early access, however the poor performance makes it so difficult to even play the game and even try to enjoy/learn the game play loop.

Running a mid/lower high end system I did expect some performance hiccups based on the recommended specs, however not to the extent I am getting them. Running an RTX 2080 Super, i9-9900k & 32gb DDR4 RAM @ 3200mhz, running all settings on low, and running the game with all of the FPS enhancers (FSR balanced) @ 1080p I get around 80-100 fps in non built up areas with the occasional stutter/freeze. As soon as I enter the towns/villages, this drops dramatically to 40/60 fps depending on where you are looking and what part of the town you are in with a huge amount of micro stutters/freezes. Not also to mention using FSR to boost fps on the balanced/performance/ultra performance reduces the resolution of the game so that anything 10ft infront of you looks like a blurry splat on your screen making long range combat very difficult. Without FSR enabled I noticed my fps would near enough half - so in built up areas was getting around 20-40 fps consistently.

I am optimistic for the game's future, and I believe with time the developers will cook up something special. However, I cannot recommend this game in it's current state with the performance issues myself and others have been experiencing.
