Tried the other support weapons after the patch to get a sense for what the "gud" community members have been talking about, suggesting the "meta" wasn't needed to pull off the same degree/efficiency of heavy-handling as pre-patch, which was fun & engaging. Doesn't really seem possible anymore, and I don't really care for it if this is more in line with the intended "vision" moving forward. It's just not as fun as it was before.

As I see it, it just seems like an absurd oversight to have not pretested & discovered something THIS thoroughly "out of line" before releasing the game in the first place & making the first impression that's been made.

I believe the community was sooner expecting the other weapons to be boosted to be more in line with the "meta" & the enemies to be buffed at the highest difficulties to make things more challenging for the sweats before seeing any major debuffs.

At that rate, the studio's own developers reportedly referring to players that "exposed" this oversight as "brainless," rather than just taking responsibility for this oversight, doesn't inspire confidence to say the least.

Should the patch be reversed, or at least its adjustments be restricted to just the highest difficulty, I'd easily come around to a positive recommendation. From there, I'd imagine the game would just become more fun with additional content and more tuning for higher difficulties.
