This game started off in a very rocky place, the initial development team left a mess for the maintenance team to clean up, but after a while it seemed like they were going in the right direction. But now they have decided to throw all of that away and bump up the price of dlc despite it being uninspired and emptier than previous dlc packs. I was willing to accept race packs being a higher price, but the standard dlc costing more for less content is unacceptable. If you feel these prices seem fair than by all means, purchase it and enjoy your time with it, but as a long time enjoyer of all three installments of this series, I've lost hope for the third game as being a grandstanding titan.

This game changed my oil, filed my taxes, cured my scoliosis, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ my wife, and solved the conflict in the middle east. God bless those little bambinos.

The progression and difficulty curve are paced well.

The best installment in the Total War franchise. It may not include the magic or monsters of the Warhammer series, but it does include many systems that are better than previous installments. The diplomacy is very good beyond a few quirks that are easily avoided or dealt with once you learn the diplomacy and opinion systems. While you might assume that the units can feel very similar to one another, seeing as it is a historical title, one of the main factors does come down to the fact that generals can give smaller permanent buffs, or larger timed buffs to units depending on how you level them up.

P.S. Play He Yi and save the people of China or you're a dirty ruling class sympathizer.
