Early Access Review
This is what I've been needing from a game developer for years. This single guy, puts every publisher to Shame, take note! This is how a game is made with love and passion.

What can I say that hasn't already been said by many others... It's amazing. Buy it support this guy and I'm excited to see where he takes it.

Good job buddy!

Amazing yet Challenging to say the least. I do find it a little TOO punishing but its enough to make me want to come back and try again.

**Game Review: City Skylines Sequel**

**Rating**: 😔 Disappointed

---

To say I'm disenchanted would be an understatement. Having backed and thoroughly enjoyed City Skylines over the years, watching its growth through expansions and a thriving mod community, my hopes were sky-high. But this? This feels like a betrayal by Colossal Order. I’ll admit, standalone, it’s a passable city builder. However, when juxtaposed with City Skylines, it feels like an alpha iteration released prematurely.

One glaring issue? My city feels lifeless. Where City Skylines radiated a near-charming artistic aesthetic, this one plunges into a bleak monotony. The vibrant hues of the original are nowhere in sight, replaced instead by the drab palette of endless suburbs. And the architectural choices? Abysmal. Not a single structure elicits awe. My city looks cheap, dark, and wholly soulless. It’s as if the architectural design team was in a perpetual state of resentment throughout the game's development.

The graphics are, quite frankly, a letdown. It’s hard to believe they considered this ready for launch.

**Other Issues**:

- *Map Scale*: Too constrained for my liking.

- *Service Buildings*: Disproportionately large, disrupting the cityscape.

- *Bus Stops*: Tediously placing each one, then laying out the line? A needless chore.

- *Road Connections*: The absence of the "Move It" tool is sorely felt.

- *Connecting to the Outside*: Figuring this out was a puzzle in itself, albeit, I did skip the tutorial.

- *Citizens*: Their incessant, trite chatter about the weather grows quickly tiresome.

In a nutshell, the game evokes ennui more than exhilaration. If this is your introduction to the series, my advice? Stick with the predecessor. For long-standing fans, maybe give it a year or so, in hopes of improvements.

**Silver Linings**:

- *Roundabouts*: They’re a nifty addition.

- *Building Upgrades*: A concept I appreciate, though execution leaves much to be desired, given the oversized structures.

- *Traffic Flow*: A marked improvement. Yet, I yearn for the granularity of control akin to the 'Presidents Mod' from the original.

---

In conclusion, a game that could have soared, sadly feels grounded. Here's to hoping for better days and updates ahead.

Look the game is obviously in early access, and it reminds me when the very first KSP came out and we were all there for every step of the way as the game got better and better with each update. The problem this time is that KSP is now owned by a large studio and you have been working on it for over 2 years. You promoted the game as if it would be a full game at launch. I believe the reaction that players are having is because they believed it would be a full game not a beta game. I think it is greedy of the developers to not invest fully in this game knowing how popular it is and give us at least a fully functional base game and then sell us DLCs. I would not have mind this, but as the game is now....its good and worth the investment for sure as KSP was, but you have a long way to go to out beat your biggest competitor....KSP 1.

If your new to KSP buy the first one, then wait a little more for this one to develop. But I must still recommend the game because I know it will be killer and at the current price point, although expensive...will be much more later on.

Pharaoh is one of the first computer games that I ever played when I was 6 on wards. I played it over and over and over. I quickly became a master at it. After seeing there were relaunching it I was just so excited. I love that they brought this game back to life with new art and fixed some bugs. Since the existing game is so great its hard not to like this game, the art the music is great, the game is fun and engaging just like the original.

A few things that need to be fixed:

one MAJOR change that I hate more than anything is the battle simulation way to take something that was not broken and make it soulless and meaningless. very disappointed.

-Notifications must have a turn off switch they are so annoying this was an option in the original so it should not be hard to add back.
-The organisation of the UI is confusing to me. I find myself clicking all over the place to find what I want. the OG Pharaoh made a lot of sense to me and it did not take up very much space on my screen. The new UI is very cumbersome and confusing.
- Overseers I am very confused by the button layout and I miss the full screen statistic pages that we use to get in the OG so I can get a full grasp of my city. I find its not very clear what information I am looking at half the time. the workers overseer page is by far the most important page in dealing the worker priority levels and I have no idea how it works now.
-I Love that I can choose my own garden so glad you included that option in the game, but why cant I choose my own Plaza?
- The festival square is not working correctly as it does in the OG as it shows left over bits of road under it. The OG removed all road elements so that JUST the square is left. The OG allowed you to fill an entire square filled with road if you wanted and it would still let you place it. The new one wont let you do this.
-LOVE the global supply option
- I have a felling you will be launching this game on tablets and what not so maybe this is not important but i feel there is still charming aspects of the OG that are not really respected in this version. You had months to animate the opening movie from the OG. The opening movie in the OG is what really captured me as a kid and the fact you have left this out was a little disapointing.

However all in all a good reboot and good remake I'm going to play it for hours so I hope they fix the current bugs and expand on the game if they can.

Great game so far! I honestly cannot even tell this is Early Access, it feels like a full game. I will be eager to see how this develops. I feel it needs more tutorials though to fully understand what I am doing but with some hours I started to figure it out.

Pretty good! I am enjoying the game so far and seems like a fully developed game for an Alpha. I would buy it, as it can only get better :)

I got addicted for 4 hours straight its pretty fun however, I dont care for the cards system...I think it's rather annoying with all the popups. Still a little laggy once i get into the later game but overall GREAT bones and excited to see where it goes :)
