Paid mods. The best thing about the modding community was the, well, community; people made discoveries, shared them, and improved them, always making things better for everyone. If we liked this, we could (and did) donate.

By changing this to a paywall, cooperation disappears. Discoveries are hidden and guarded, lest they impact the bottom line of profit. Nothing good can come of this, in the long run.
