I used to be a Counter-Strike 1.6 gamer and I stuck to 1.6 even though I tried Sounce, Condition Zero and Deleted Scenes but, when I played CSGO, I reaslised I could never go back becauce this is by far the best version of CS till date!

The ranking system has definitely made it more addictive and competitive. Over 11 million gamers on average online at anypoint as of now, it only takes a minute or two to match with players with your level of skill for a competitive game. The maps, guns, sounds and graphics have improved by miles. It's such a pleasure playing this game or even just watching it especially if you have a good computer and graphics card. You can even view live games, be it random based on skill level or professional games that are taking place live somewhere in the world (It's all streamed in-game).

I also love how we have custom maps, player created maps and gun skins. Woops! Did I just mention that Guns have skins? Yes. They do. You can buy/sell/trade custom Gun skins on the Steam Comminity Market and rarely you can receive them as a drop after a game. The skins look amazing and it really gives you a collection to be proud of. This also boosts talent as some players can design their own skins and submit their designs up for community votes. You can even get custom gloves and knives however, these are expensive and only if you're willing to shell out some big bucks.

The entire experience is amazing including the game music. The only downside would be the number of hackers that still exist in game especially in the competitive games. Valve really needs to do something about that.

If you're a Counter-Strike 1.6, Condition Zero or Source gamer, I highly recommend you trying CSGO out, you'll never want to go back. Trust me it's worth every penny.
