For being paid DLC this should have oceans of blood coating the landscape at the end of a battle like historians describe, instead this actually makes the game look worse by covering your units in a dirty red overlay the moment they make contact with an enemy unit, and adding dismemberments *sometimes*. You won't even notice a difference if you play a faction that uses a lot of spearmen or hoplites because the new animations only apply to bladed weapons. If this were actually cool and added something to the game I wouldn't mind it being DLC, but it just sucks.
