I really liked this Battlefield game. I played a few hundred hours in total, almost entirely played as a medic, but it never got boring, it was actually really fun. This was years ago though, as I started losing interest in the franchise after Hardline. Unfortunately.

Unlike Bad Company 2, the campaign in this game wasn't anything special, maybe besides a few co-op missions, some of them were pretty cool. Where this game shines, like every other Battlefield game pretty much, is multiplayer. I played a lot of online bf3 on the Xbox 360 with my then Xbox Live friends. It had a pretty good weapon and map selection and pretty good weapon and loadout customization. I spent a lot of time playing around with different settings.

I have a lot of memories from this game, and would love to try it again, but unfortunately, this game has aged very badly, but not because it wouldn't be fun to play anymore, more accurately because it has been "redesigned" into not working. Since you are now required to have Origin to launch the game, you will have to activate it first, and it seems like something broke during the designing of this very important step, that leads to the majority of the new playerbase not being able to activate and therefore not play this game. According to a forum post and a review I read, the only solutions to this fix, if you are unable to activate, is reinstalling Windows... This rather big mishad also causes the already dying playerbase to wither away a lot faster than it maybe would have naturally.

Since this is literally unplayable now, I don't see a reason to recommend anyone who actually wants to play it to buy it.
