Look, if you thought about Remnant 1 but didn't care to play it, you ain't missing much. So pick up Remnant 2!
If you did play it, Remnant 2 is actually like a sequel and not just a 1.5.

I will say, there are a number of boss fights where I was clueless on what to do... or say... all of them. However, more often than not, I felt as if I simply didn't know the attacks and what to do about them. Instead of just dying to impossible moves and instant kills.

They really did the game well. You got bosses with alternate fights. Bosses with different means to kill them for different rewards. Bosses who will remind you of why they're call ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BOSSES!

The weapons feel so much better. You can actually use melee as a means to save ammo instead of the game telling you to do it and you ignoring it like Remnant 1. A lot of the guns feel useful and with the way the Mod and Mutator Systems allow you to customize your style of play, it makes them so much more interesting.

Gone are your hording of Traits and infinite Points. Now you have to find, select and grind your traits. While I did enjoy the ease and nature of traits in Remnant 1 they are more impactful here.

Sounds too similar to Remnant 1 you say? Nah, You got 3 Skills per class and can have 2 Classes on at a time. And you have so many of them to find and unlock! Each class gives you a trait permanently if you max them. (You'll still need to dump points into it though). If you don't get it, now you have skills to use besides your abilities on your weapons. It makes it a lot more fun and challenging.

From hidden areas to completely missable puzzles, the game has all sorts of things for you to explore and find. You need goals? You got more than enough stuff here. From the zones having two versions possible all with different zones and bosses within them, you have your work cut out for you here. The grind is REAL! So much to try and collect it is quite insane.
They've packed so many different hidden things that they knew we'd comb through everything and hid a class within the game code for dataminers. The devs made the game worth exploring instead of attempts at forcing it.

I've played for 100 hours and I've yet to collect everything in a single zone. I'm still going to keep playing until I do and then i'll be ready for the DLC BABY!
