This game is a breath of fresh air to me. It's fun, relaxing and simple, and I found genuine enjoyment in it. The visuals are beautiful without being overly demanding, and enjoyably whimsical in nature, but not overly so. Using a controller the game-play felt quite good, though I can imagine using keyboard controls might be more frustrating with this style of game.

I usually buy RPG's, stategy games, management games, etc. Due to their nature, and ever increasing scale, I have found myself becoming more and more frustrated at the sheer amount of time and energy required to play/complete them, despite respecting the technical aspect of creating game worlds as large as they are becoming. Strategy and management games have effectively become infinite time sinks, and beating RPG's is almost becoming a second job at this point due to the required time, energy, money, and sheer effort, in addition to the ever increasing need for better and better hardware due to the intense graphical requirements, this hobby is becoming quite a costly one.

So, that being said, I greatly appreciate this game bucking those trends. I appreciate the fact that I can jump in and play for a bit without having to mentally process stats, or move sets, or strategies. At this point I have a mere 1.5 hrs in this game, but I have completed the main objective and a few side quests, and I did it in one sitting. I haven't explored everything yet, but it feels good to be able to make progress like that without a massive grind, and to look forward to seeing what else there is knowing it won't require a stupid amount of my time to do so. I am excited for the side quests in this game, which is new for me.

I definitely recommend this game.

Quite silly, and very enjoyable

The first couple of times I started it up it worked. It crashed when I changed too many graphics settings at once, but after that I started playing the first couple of levels and it worked fine. However for some reason I can't even get to the menu screen now. It starts to a black screen, then freezes and logs me out of my computer. I don't remember any patch or anything but for some reason it's not working now. Game seems like it could be pretty good, if I could actually play.

This is on a 64 bit Ubuntu Budgie 19.04 Linux install.
