If you ever wanted to manipulate a country to your whim or style of country then this game can be a lot of fun. Plenty of features with the base game and the mods that are available add a lot of depth to the game. If there was one main criticism it would be that economics play a role too large for the game. Much like other simulators of simular nature you are required to essentially focus every single ounce of your political effort on solving the economy. And if you don't get it under control before your credit rating is downgraded, good luck.
