This game is up and down. Yes, it is a very strategical FPS game, but it doesn't have the best community. For starters, the developers don't really care too much about this game, and would rather focus more on the parts of the game that bring them money (cases, skins, etc.). They don't have a direct line of communication with the players. There are many bigs and glitches that make players die unfairly, which really isn't the greatest in a competitive game like Counter-Strike. Another down-side is the community. CS:GO is a team-based game, and requires co-ordination and collaboration between the team. However, most people can agree that most of the people that you meet in match-making aren't the most friendly or practical. If you join a non-prime game, you will most likely be paired up with a troll, a team-killer, or a griefer. Another thing with this game are the hackers. You will find hackers everywhere, and there's no escaping them. I personally have had a very bad issue with toxic players and hackers over my hundreds of hours of playing this game, and I simply had to deal with it. Yes, you can report them, but the chances of them actually getting caught and punished is 1 in 100. There are ways to avoid this, though. You can use external match-making services such as FACEIT, or ESEA which decrease the amount of trolls and hackers by creating their own anti-cheat and having a better match-making system in general. It will cost you a few dollars, but it could be worth it! There are some good things about this game that really make me want to recommend this game. First of all, it's fun. Second of all, when you finally rank up after what seems like a million matches, you feel really great. This game can really tamper with your emotions, from you finally ranking up into the highest rank, or plummeting down a rank, only to grind your way back up to the top. So, in conclusion this game can be an emotional rollercoaster, and it has it's goods, and it has it's bads, but in the end you feel great. So I would recommend this game to anyone who is looking for a competitive FPS game, and can take a beating and still get up again. :)
