I think it’s important to note this game is EARLY access. There is clearly content yet to be added, and in my experience it feels a bit more unfinished than the state that other early access titles generally launch with.

That said, it’s a roguelike game with a completable run. The gameplay is fun and engaging, with interesting build options and synergies. The monsters available are unique and interesting in their own way, making it fun to explore builds will all of them. The game is difficult, but not impossible. As with all roguelikes, it’ll take some trial and error, some meta progression, and a little bit of luck to start having some consistent/successful runs.

Some current drawbacks are that the town feels empty. It’s a large space with hopefully a lot of content still to be added, but right now it’s dead. The game can feel slow at times as you wait for the monsters to take the turns and apply their buffs.

For $25 AUD it is a pretty good experience. The core gameplay shows a lot of potential, and is still very fun in its current state. It would be great for a dev roadmap so that players can see what’s in store!
