Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)

A vast improvement over the previous version of Microsoft Flight Simulator: X

Overall this game has been great so far; even with a rocky launch and bugs, it is a great simulator that we never really saw coming. Although it isn't perfect, it is better than what we have ever seen before in the generic flight sim genre.

Pros:
+ Extremely beautiful
+ Introduction of live traffic and choices of multiplayer modes
+ Many updates promised, recent updates show bigger ambitions.
+ Team is willing to delay content in favor of stability and performance
+ Plenty of Sim Vars for controls
+ Developer team is transparent and open to the public with weekly updates and road maps
+ Constant updates bringing new tools to the community
+ A ton of high quality freeware, and decent amount of lifelike payware
+ Performance is now stable and runs at a playable frame rate.


Cons:
- Updates tend to bring some bugs even after beta (this has been improving.)
- Lack of base content
- Night lighting is great, but is limited to terrain detail scale, should render further and stand alone.
- Weather tends to bug out and transition winds instantly sometimes rather than smoothly transitioning
- AI and Live traffic tends to be bugged, multiplayer has improved
- Although stable the game lacks some real time flight dynamics that need to be updated.

Overall I love this simulator, though I was unsure after seeing the release, the sim is starting to become enjoyable as a main stay. The game also feels decent but still lacks in areas. The development team cares about the simulator and wants to make it the best experience possible to date. Together with the community, this will perhaps be one of the best sims in the future.
