A fun game both alone and with friends!

There's definitely a learning curve to this one, and you're not like to see many successful runs into the bayou until you've paid the mud price. Like any live-service title, the balance of weapons, engagements, and equipment changes with every expansion in content or general change from the developers. Sometimes folks feathers get ruffled over it, but as long as you keep an open mind, you'll be fine.

I can only speak of Hunt from '23 on, but I've friends who have enjoyed the game from long before then. Give it a whirl and see if it's your thing.

An outstanding remake that doesn't try to replace the original.

If you're a Silent Hill fan, you'll enjoy this.

If you're a fan of Survival-Horror games, you'll enjoy this.

A cute exploration-focused game that's not too long (or difficult) to fully complete.

Some of the translations from French-to-English may come off a bit stilted, but overall it delivers it's narrative succinctly.

I enjoyed my time with it, and think it's a nice palette cleanser and good addition to someone's library.

An overall great love-letter to survival horror games past. It's gameplay on the surface is more adjacent to Silent Hill, but it has a fresh enough presentation to make it stand on its own merits. It's level design is a bit lacking, and I could see players getting potentially lost (or at the very least turned around) during certain areas of their journey. There's a decent bit of replay value baked in with a New Game + mode as well as post-game unlocks and multiple endings.

All-in-all, if you're in the market for a new survival-horror experience, you can't go wrong with this one.

Early Access Review
I admittedly haven't played the original iteration of the game, but I'm having a blast so far with the revamped Wayfinders. It's a pretty straightforward action RPG that rewards exploration, working with teammates, etc.

It's a cute, short game with a great deal of charm.

It's a nice palette cleanser than can be played through an evening.

A more-than-worthy sequel to a great game, Hellblade 2 offers the same level of mechanical complexity as its predecessor. What it does better is in how it divides up it's usage of gameplay mechanics to prevent sections from potentially feeling like a slog.

Narrative-wise, it sticks to what made the first game a great character-driven experience, while giving players a new perspective on Senua through her interactions with other people. I dug the story and characters of the game throughout, but that's just my taste and opinions.

It's not long either (like 5-7 hours), and it makes getting collectibles you've missed easy with a decent chapter select.

TL;DR:
Did you like Hellblade 1? Then it's an easy buy
Were you not a fan of it? Then probably pass

An easy-going souls-like game that doesn't take itself too seriously, but has enough mechanical depth that veterans of the genre will still find a lot to love. Apart from that, this game has heaps of personality baked into its environments, characters, items, and so on.

It's one of those games where if you're a fan of these sorts of games, you can't go wrong with picking it up. And for people not accustomed with the loop of souls-like games, the title makes great effort to accommodate folks with varying experience/playstyles.

It's a nice, light RPG with a nice variety of content (minor puzzles, quests, etc.) with an endearing level of personality baked into it's worldbuilding.
