I saw the small bug in my son's hair and I knew what it was. My head had felt itchy for a month. I used raw Apple cider vinegar for the nits and then I covered our heads in oil and I spent about an hour per child gently pulling out the eggs and lice. I instinctively started eating them and it was addictive. They are too small to taste but the little “pop" when my teeth crush them is sooooooo pleasurable.
We never had a crazy infestation so I only ate about ten lice per child, but the nits were more abundant and I really made, what the majority of people consider a grueling task, into almost a meditation and fun.
