I love everything 40K so I'm a bit biased to any 40K game... mostly... Dawn of War 3 was a disappointment. Space Marine 2 has been good so far, not perfect. PvE mode is awesome and something that I loved about the original Space Marine, and I hope they do add a Chaos Space Marine PvE mode eventually. I'm not much of PvP player, just because I suck at most games, but I will play from time to time. I also love the customization for the game, but hope they add more customization for the Chaos Space Marine side, I know its called Space Marine, but give some of us Chaos Space Marine lovers some love to.

I'm happy that Saber has set up a website with ideas to add to the game and can't wait to see what they add as time goes on.

Been playing the mobile version of the game for a while. I probably will still play the mobile game more than the Steam version. Game is good if your looking for a auto chess battler type game.

Bought it on whim. It's pretty addictive, playing on the steamdeck is the way to play.

Kill this FOMO practice, cash shop at launch for an unfinished game is trash

I love Warhammer 40K and I like this game, but I cannot in good conscience give it a good review. There are just to many things that need to be changed/fixed in order for this game to shine.

Good things about the game, the atmosphere of 40K is nailed. The missions, the music, the enemies, it all feels 40K.

The story is a letdown. "We don't trust, do more missions." "We still don't trust you, also there is spy." "We don't trust you, do more missions." "We found the spy, we trust you now." The End. Yea very lackluster for having Dan Abnett "write" your story.

The shop is probably my biggest complaint. Every hour it changes and there is no guarantee that you will see a weapon you are looking for. You can go days without seeing a certain weapon that you want to try. I got a power sword early on luckily, but I've heard of other people not even seeing one in shop until they were almost level 30. That's what happened for me when I was looking for the plasma gun, I didn't get one until level 27, it unlocked at level 16, so I went 11 levels checking the shop after every mission until I finally got a plasma gun. This is trash and needs to be changed. Either have one of every weapon and change up what rarity is showing up every hour, or give us a grey version of the weapon we unlock (when we unlock that weapon type) that can't be upgraded, but at least allows us to try out weapons.

Many features are still missing, but hey at least their is a FOMO cash shop in the game. Crafting is slowly being added one thing at a time, some weapons were missing on launch, there are still some missing missions, and there are still bugs/crashes. I know this game had already been delayed, but it feels like they just rushed the release.

I'll change my review if they fix a lot of the issues, but as of now this game feels half baked and I would only buy it at a steep discount.

Well gotta say they have come a long a way and I can say the game is way better. Should have just let it cook longer and the launch wouldn't have been so bad. Definitely a lot better game now. 🥳

The final chapter of one of the best Total War games has arrived. Very good game, now that immortal empires is out this game has so much longevity. I don't think I'll have enough time to beat it with every race. can't wait to see what CA does next, I really hope they will do a WH40K style game, but we will see.

Edit:
DLC prices for this are crazy, $25 for 3 lords, I can understand if it was a new race with a new mechanics, but races that are already in the game, no dice. Stay away from CA games to make your voice heard.
