So, I finished this game recently for the second time in my life and I still enjoy this game so much. Here are my thoughts. (I also played the DLC for the first time so I'll review those too)

The Story
I almost forgot how hooked I was on my first ever playthrough and coming out of Dragon Age Origins straight into this game and It definitely hold up well. It kept me hooked and I thank the writers of this game for making it so fun to play through. The story keeps you on your toes with what you can expect, love it.

Characters
My favourite aspect in Dragon Age games are the characters and DA2 does not lack on characters and how well developed they are. From looks alone you can already tell what their personality is going to be like and seeing how the characters develop as you go through the acts. {SPOILERS FOR ACT 3 AHEAD} Especially seeing how by the end of the game how Knight Commander Meredith becomes so enranged with putting mages under control, she ends up losing control of that power which I personally think why Meredith having the Red Lyrium idol was a good shout on their side.

Bugs
Funnily enough, I rarely encountered bugs throughout my entire game. Of course the game had a few minor bugs such as: {SPOILERS FOR ACT 2 AHEAD} With Leandra Hawke's death where Hawke is seen holding her in their arms, my Hawke would dissapear completely in some scenes but nothing too major and Hawke's portrait glitching out ocassionally. Overall not that many bad bugs.

DLC
Mark of the Assassin has to be my favourite out of the two dlcs that were actually playable. Tallis was an incredibly interesting character and I wish she could've remained in my party but alas, it was not meant to be. I also loved how the game was actually giving me a challenge for this DLC, The Wyvern fight was actually pretty hard and took me a few tries to get right but I eventually got through it. Sebastian's DLC, The Exiled Prince felt slightly lack luster but I enjoyed having another person in my party, even though I found him a bit insufferable

Overall Thoughts
As a returning player, this game still holds up well to this day in my honest opinion. I would say I'm slightly more biased because Ive been a fan for a long time now, but I definitely recommend this game to people who were fans of Dragon Age Origins or people who are fans of Fantasy and want to get into a new game.

Downfall takes serious topics and handles it well and it impressed me. I played this game first before playing The Cat Lady but if I'm being honest, I enjoy this one quite a bit more than its previous game.

The possibility of getting different endings each time dependent on your choices keeps you wanting to come back for more and makes you look at things that you might've missed previously. It's a short game but for the hours you'll be putting into it will make you want more. The beautiful visuals also help add to the charm of the game.

The voice acting in the game can be a bit weird at times but that's the only real downside I could think of.

Considering this game came out in 2010, I feel personally feel has aged well. I also played this game originally on console but playing it on PC was a good breath of fresh air.

The story is amazing and the games addicting to go back to even if you stop playing for the day. Boss fights are genuinely challenging and the DLCs are well worth the play.

The characters are always charming and make the game way better.

The only downside is that the bugs can sometimes mess up your game but overall I love this game and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a good fantasy game

I absolutely love the mix of cute anime aesthetics and horror.

It's a game that I would recommend if you love visual novels and psychological horror. The twist ending makes playing through the whole game so worth it

BUT Don't take the games warnings lightly because it will mess you up if you're not prepared for it.

Overall, It's an amazing game that deserves the love it gets and I would 100% recommend playing this if you haven't already.

p.s: Natsuki is best girl
