TLDR: Not for nuclear energy enthusiasts, and the Dev does not take critique or criticism well.

Update 2.12: A syncro! My heart lept! And a sudo API to get reactor conditions! THE BEST UPDATE YET! EVERYTHING'S GOING TO BE GREAT! No... not really... The syncro is very poorly implemented and makes no sense if you know how a real one works, and the API is missing everything and is poorly implemented. All in all, continued disappointment... Also, the Dev is further purging old discussion posts... covering his tracks.

Update 2.09: With each update, the "simulation" becomes less and less realistic, and more a game of twiddling dials, and watching numbers bob around. Eventually, it'll be nothing more than a busy box vaguely shaped like a power plant control room.

A note to anyone looking to engage this game's community. You may have notice some passive aggressive comments left by the Dev on reviews. This extends to the forum. If you post a lot of bugs reports, or engage in discussion regarding nuclear energy, which this game is purport to be a simulator of, your posts may be deleted, and you may get a guideline warning.

If you're looking for a toy reactor with limited realism to play with in a first person setting... maybe this game's for you... But if you've gone through the trouble of getting access to something like the IAEA's simulators, or tried out the BMK-1000 Simulator, you will be sorrily, painfully disappointed. As an actual game, it's almost empty, and the Dev seems more interesting in pushing visual updates, rather than fixing the fundamental problems with the 'simulation'. As a simulator... it's actually more of an emulator... skip it, it's not worth the 10 or 15 bux, and is beat out functionally, by a Roblox build.

10 bux is a little much for this game, it's somewhat vacant and barren, but can be relaxing if you just want to stare through the screen while playing a driving sim, Mods are good, but you have to access their discord to use them... which is a PAIN!!!!! I dislike discord, and enough corporations have my phone number... On sale at 5 dollars is reasonable, but the Dev is continuing to add content and upgrade the engine, so he might eventually add enough to make it worth the price.

Island Update: Good update, adds a whole new dimension to game play, I'm actually shocked how much I've been playing it. Well worth the 5 bux... seriously!

To be honest, I'm probably not going to play this game too terribly much... but it's well worth at least one play though, and worth the 5 bux,,, a rare gem in a sea of corporate garbage

Edit for Konig UPDATE V2 -- Some welcome additions, but those pesky, rage quite inducing, physics bugs persist... content over usability... the new age cry of game development...

I love the thought of running a sugar bush... but so many basic mechanics of the game are broken, glitched, or just plain do not exist. The parking break, or the parking selection in the car, causes the contents to walk their way out of the vehicles, even when in an enclosed space, if you try and manhandle the tailors around, you get called name, if you flip the ATV, you need to run home to get the come-along from one of the vehicles, trees sometime jump off in weird directions when cut, pine logs don't stack very well, saving is an absurd pain, condition indicators are weirdly hard to notice, loading in causes stacks of wood to explode... then theres the little things like the ATV having no place to strap things, your brother's quest marker disappearing when he's not there, no latching for objects in trunks or boxes... and a multitude of other stuff, all existing since the game's first release... but for some reason, content comes before play-ability for this dev...

The Ball is the predecessor... kinda, to the Solus project, which is not a bad game... but now reflecting on some of the imagery and concepts in both game, especially Solus... maybe their association with Tripwire is not strictly business, perhaps they share ideologies. Some of the imagery in Solus, including a species driving themselves to harvest their children to prolong their own lives... images of alien fetuses mummified in bowls... these twisted iconographies had to come from somewhere.., which is why I cannot recommend either game... they're defeatist to the core, and promote positive reinforcement of false dichotomies... In other words, they use scifi as a setting to push the narrative that the world's problems are too big for you to even get involved in, let alone help solve, and that those in power, will absolutely always be corrupted into evil.

Terrible, mindless game play, lots of bug, nothing of substance... Developer is also a bit of a monster, after years of ignoring most of the community, he made public very... negative statements
